The Relationship between Lower Extremity Function and Balance Ability of Community Care Service Subjects

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective : This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between lower extremity function and balance ability of community care service subjects residing in Cheongyang-gun.
Methods : This study targeted 119 elderly people of over 60 years older among community care service recipients residing in Cheongyang, Chungcheongnam-do. The data analysis method used the SPSS 23.0 program, and a frequency analysis for general characteristics, lower extremity function and balance ability characteristics, and a chi-square (x2) test were performed to find out the relationship between lower extremity function and balance ability.
Results : As a result of researching the relationship between the lower extremity function and the balance ability, the relationship between the lower extremity function and the Romberg¡¯s test was significant at the P <.01, .05 level, and the relationship between the lower extremity function and the Timed up and go test was significant at the P <.01.
Conclusion : In the results of this study, it is considered that the relationship between lower extremity function and balance ability is significant, and in future studies, we review the relationship between lower extremity function and balance ability according to various variables of community care service subjects, It is expected that a program to improve ability will be implemented and research on its effectiveness will be conducted.
